6th Grade, Intro to Art , 3 Dimensional Art Teacher
In 1994 I graduated from Sam Houston State and began my career as a teacher. Physical Education was the first subject I taught for 12 years including the grades PK-5. I have been teaching art in Montgomery since 2007. A fun fact is that I am a 1989 graduate of Montgomery High School and my daughter graduated from Montgomery High School in 2020! I am proud to be a part of MISD and the growing Lion pride.
The students at OHJH will be introduced and challenged to create and produce original works of art using all types of mediums. Projects will also include lessons about various artists and art history. Many of the lessons are cross curriculum and re-enforce topics being taught in their core subjects.
